1. Registering for an account

Go to the MySPR website, and click 'Permohonan Akaun Baru', below the login box.

Once you're on the signup page, fill in your:

  • MyKad/Identity Card number
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Address as stated on your MyKad/Identity Card
  • Password
  • Security Questions
  • Captcha image code
You can now use your Australian and United Kingdom phone numbers to register to vote
Use a secure password to ensure that your personal information is safe. Keep your security questions in a safe place in case you forget your password and need to recover your account.

In the 'Muat Naik Gambar' section, upload a selfie of yourself with the front face of your MyKad/Identity Card, as well as a photo of the front face of your MyKad/Identity Card. Your face and MyKad details should be clear in the pictures you take.

There's a 500kb upload limit for your pictures. You may need to resize or compress your pictures before uploading. You can do this with any online or offline photo editing software.

Once you've uploaded your pictures, agree to the terms of conditions at the end of the form. Click 'Hantar' to continue.

A notification will appear to ask if you really want to send in your application. Click 'Pasti' to continue.

Your application will be sent for processing when you see a green dialogue box on the next page. You'll also get a copy of your application sent to your email address.


2. Processing times

Depending on when you submit your application for a MySPR Daftar account, your application can be processed the same business day, or the next business day. Processing times listed are based on Malaysian Standard Time.

While your application may be processed, it doesn't mean that you can vote immediately. Your voting details must still be exhibited at the end of the quarter before you can vote. SeeĀ Processing Times for more details.

3. Activating your account

Once your application for a MySPR Daftar account is approved, you'll get an email from MySPR Daftar asking you to activate your account.

Prevent yourself from being phished

Ensure that your activation email comes from [email protected]. Many phishing emails that steal your personal information can look very alike to official government emails.

Click the link in the email, which will take you to the MySPR Daftar account activation page. Have your phone next to you to activate your account.

Fill in your MyKad/Identity Card number, your password used to register for your account. Then, click 'Mohon TAC'. A green notification will appear when the code is sent to your phone.

Check your phone for a one-time code from SPR. Use this code to finish your account activation by entering it into the TAC field that appears.

Once your acount activation is successful, the MySPR Daftar login screen will appear. Use your MyKad/Identity Card number and password to log into MySPR Daftar.

To regsiter to vote, you must also file your application on the MySPR Daftar page as well.
